The attribute that makes this tea an unusual variety when compared to Red Rooibos tea, is that it is completely unfermented, it contains a slightly herbal aftertaste, and brews light in color which makes it a perfect companion to those that feel fermented Red Rooibos is too sweet. Green Rooibos is a hearty brew- a soft golden color with (an amber hue), and warm scent. This tea is considerably higher in anti-oxidants, trace minerals, and nutrients, when compared to traditional Rooibos. Rooibos has been popular in South Africa for generations and is drunk for its abundant health benefits including unusually high amount of antioxidants, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Iron, Calcium, and Potassium. The resulting brew is reddish-brown in color, hence the name "red tea." In South Africa, it is customary to drink rooibos sweetened and served with a splash of milk. Item #:400108
