Honeybush
Honeybush 1-2 teasoons to each cup of water - Steep 3-5 minutes or to suit your taste Honeybush (Cyclopia Intermedia) is a native shrub to the Cape of South Africa. The mild taste and caffeine-free properties make this fermented brew a favorite of children. Honeybush contains polyphenols that boost the immune system and help reduce degenerative effects of disease. Caffeine-Free Very Low Tannin Levels It is very soothing and calms the central nervous system, eases constipation, it's full of antioxidants to guard against free radical attack and can be applied topically to skin irritations. Honeybush is rich in minerals such as Iron, Potassium, Calcium, Copper, Zinc, Magnesium, Manganese, and Sodium. It is similar in appearance and taste to Rooibos, but is naturally sweeter. Correctly called tisanes, herbal teas are made from flowering plants without woody stems. Herbal infusions can include flowers, herbs, fruit, and spices. These infusions are caffeine-free unlike all other types of tea. Herbal teas do not contain tea leaves from the Camelia Sinensis plant and therefore cannot be technically classified as a tea. Herbal teas have many health benefits, though they differ from those of the Camelia Sinensis varieties.
